Not only do we design the inside of our cables to meet customer requirements. You also decide what the printing on the cable should look like and the color of the jacket.

There are, however, a few restricted colors and color combinations. One example is the combination of yellow and green, which is reserved for protective grounding conductors. Cable jackets for intrinsically safe circuits are always blue.

The cable printing itself must include a source reference and a test and conformity marking (as prescribed by the VDE standard).

Cable assemblies produced to conform additionally to the European Harmonization Agreement bear the HAR harmonization symbol next to the VDE symbol or contain a colored tracer thread in the manufacturing country’s national colors.
