There are many different materials that can be used for banding and the selection will depend on the particular application involved. Banding fulfills various functions in a cable assembly. In flexible products it is especially important to ensure that the individual components do not stick to each other or chafe inside the cable. Banding serves as a protective layer between the individual cable components and prevents inner conductor breaks. Banding also offers protection from flames and water or identifies single conductors, groups of conductors or strand assemblies by color coding.

We process the following materials for banding:

• Polyester mesh tape for banding multi-conductor cables and increasing dynamic resistance to short circuits.
• Quartz and silica glass banding protects electric cables against flame and heat at temperatures of up to 1100 degrees Celsius
