Cable assemblies at a glance
Armored cables
Hradil’s reinforced cables offer protection against rodents, temperature fluctuations, being run over by wheels, impacts, sharp edges, throw stone and a lot more. They are made to withstand tough applications such as those found in mining equipment, immersion pumps or steel mills.
Bus cables (coaxial and triaxial conductors)
Hradil’s bus cables (coaxial and triaxial conductors) transmit all kinds of signals from their sensor terminals (at the slaves), proximity switches, valves or indicator lamps to the master, a higher-level central control unit. In addition to transmitting peripheral data, they can also supply energy to sensors and actuators.

Drag chain cables / track cables
Highly abrasion-resistant cables with any number and type of conductors and crosssections, suitable for installation in all kinds of drag chain and energy conducting systems.
Electro-pneumatic hybrid cables
Special pneumatic control cables act as hybrid cables with their integrated hoses that regulate pneumatic and hydraulic systems. They are used to control robots (also remotely) and other automated machinery. Electrical impulses are conveyed through copper conductors while compressed air flows through the hoses in the cable’s core.
Fire-resistant / heat resistant cables - FE 180 insulation integrity
Combining the most stringent fire protection classifications with properties specific to extreme chemical and mechanical requirements: Hradil’s CERAMOFLEX® product range, designed for automation and building utilities technology, represents a new generation of fire-proof cables. They will remain operational even in a serious blaze (fulfilling the E30 to E90 standards). We have developed a new silicon-based material for this type of cable – which we call ceramicized silicon.

Flat ribbon conductors – shielded, unshielded, round-shaped
Hradil’s flat conductors are used in EDP applications, mechanical engineering and automation technology. Up to 64 wires can be easily laid side by side in a single cable and wired up in a matter of seconds using insulation-displacement connectors. As they are considerably more flexible, circular shaped ribbon connectors can save a lot of installation space and will fit in the tightest switchgear cabinets. Rounded ribbon connectors can be laid in extremely tight radii without buckling. This is a great advantage especially in applications where the cable is subjected to rapid and constant flexing – as is the case in automation technology, for example.

Halogen-free cables
Since statutory requirements demand that no or hardly any toxic or corrosive fumes may be generated during a fire, Hradil also produces halogen-free cable assemblies. This means that health risks and secondary damage can largely be ruled out.
Aggressive fumes are generated when cables containing halogen substances such as chlorine, fluorine, bromine or iodine catch fire. PVC insulation is a prime example. First of all hydrogen chloride is released; it then reacts with the air’s humidity or fire-fighting water to create highly aggressive hydrochloric acid. Even minor fires can result in a total loss for buildings, interior furnishings and installations. Halogen-free cable assemblies are a safe and secure connection.

Hybrid electro-optical cables
Tailor-made solutions for each individual customer and application. HRADIL, one of the leading special cable developers, have now included optical fibres in their design options. HRADIL have developed cutting-edge hybrid electro-optical cables for applications in the fields of automation, telecommunication, medicine, rail technology, building installations, robotics and control processes.
Cables that combine traditional copper with optical cable technology. In other words, for using wherever large quantities of data have to be transmitted and the power supply must be ensured. HRADIL hybrid optical lines can also be used for mobile applications.

Low-temperature / cold-resistant cables
From the Arctic to the tropics: Hradil’s purpose-built special cables operate successfully in a temperature range from plus 90 down to as low as minus 50 degrees Celsius. The properties of the materials play a crucial role in these tough conditions. PUR, a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, has a service temperature range of between minus 50 and plus 120 degrees Celsius.
Motor cables
Special SERVO: compatible motor cables for applications in SEW-Eurodrive, Bosch-Rexroth, Indramat or Siemens applications and also in drag chains and motorized drums.
Offshore cables (HB44®)
Hradil HB44® Offshore Cables are special cables for the offshore sector, such as oil rigs, wind farms and other installations at sea. The special HFFR outer sheath allows the use in a demanding oil environment and in harsh environmental conditions: mud resistant (NEK 606), Ozone and UV resistant.

Reeling cables
A cable that is reeled on to a drum is subjected to the greatest possible mechanical stress due to tight radii and ever smaller cable diameters. In spite of this Hradil, by carefully selecting the materials to be used, e.g. alloy 135, can guarantee that your reeling cables will achieve long working lifes.
Robot cables
In automated processes involving extreme mechanical, chemical or thermal requirements, standard cables often fail after just a short time. Each and every Hradil robot cable is designed and manufactured to fulfill a specific automation task. This allows Hradil to incorporate and combine properties in their special cables that would not otherwise be possible with a standard cable.
Sensor cables for medical technology etc.
We have designed a Special pneumatic control cable specifically for the medical industry. Its core contains hoses which feed or purge various applications and media. This type of multi-purpose cable is especially suitable for endoscopes. In addition to guiding the camera, the cable is also capable of feeding or draining fluids.
Thermal and compensation cables
Thermal and compensating cables measure temperatures using a simple principle: Two leads are connected to a thermocouple element. Since the leads are made of two different materials, their resistance values deviate one from another as temperatures change. This resistance deviation can be used to take a temperature reading.
