Our painstaking selection of the braid, banding and insulating materials make our cable design resistant to thermal loading.
Heat and cold resistantWe combat extreme heat, at temperatures of up to 95 degrees Celsius, and freezing cold as frigid 180 degrees below zero by utilizing intelligent materials. The PUR used as the outer jacket will withstand almost any temperature. With the help of pure nickel conductors, temperatures as high as 500 degrees Celsius are no problem. Quartz and silicate glass banding render electric cables impervious to flames and heat in excess of 1100 degrees Celsius.
Self-extinguishingAdding chlorine, fluorine and bromine flame retardants ensures the cables are flame resistant and self-extinguishing. But since toxic substances might be released in the event of a fire, we can also recommend special halogen-free cables. CERAMOFLEX® cable assemblies are an example of how to meet this criterion.
